These 12 Star Wars Sith would make the perfect masters for each of the Zodiac signs. Star Wars movies and TV shows have added quite a few Sith since the original trilogy, which included just Darth Vader and Palpatine/Darth Sidious (and before the concept of the Sith had been fully formed). Darth Maul and Count Dooku were both added to the list of the canon Sith in Star Wars, and far more have been added in books, although many of those were relegated to Legends when Disney bought Star Wars.

Surprisingly, the much more recent Star Wars show The Acolyte not only added a brand-new Sith, Qimir/the Stranger, but also finally brought Palpatine’s former Sith master, Darth Plagueis, to the Star Wars screen for the very first time. Although not all of these on-screen Sith rank high on the list of Star Wars’ most powerful Sith, there are now many more to choose from. Here are the perfect Sith masters for each of the 12 Zodiac signs, pulled from Star Wars movies, TV shows, books, and comics.

Darth Vader Would Keep A Temperamental Aries In Check

The Fiery Nature Of An Aries Is No Match For Darth Vader

Although the Sith are known for their anger and hatred, the most successful Sith are nevertheless still disciplined and in control. This is precisely why Darth Vader would make the perfect Sith master for an Aries. The Aries Zodiac sign is known for its passion but also for its temper and fiery nature. Because of this, a Sith master to an Aries would need to be able to keep their apprentice in check.

Darth Vader would have no problem doing exactly that were he the Sith master to an Aries apprentice. Vader never had the opportunity to have a Sith apprentice, as Palpatine/Darth Sidious never gave up his power or control (or even died before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker). The best point of reference may ironically be Anakin Skywalker’s time as a Jedi master to Ahsoka Tano, which proved his ability to guide an apprentice who may at times push back—at times quite firmly.

The Taurus Zodiac sign is best known for its stubborn nature, which is symbolized by the bull. Even the most stubborn Taurus would have to fall in line as Palpatine/Darth Sidious’ Sith apprentice, however. Clearly, Palpatine had no trouble keeping those around him under his control. This included his Sith apprentices—Darth Maul, Count Dooku, and Darth Vader—but it also included the Senate and even the Jedi.

If Palpatine took on a Taurus apprentice, it would take little time for him to stomp out the apprentice’s stubborn nature. In fact, Palpatine did precisely that with Anakin/Darth Vader. Vader was still full of passion, anger, and a need for revenge after he fell to the dark side in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. After all, he already planned to overthrow Palpatine on Mustafar. Nevertheless, Palpatine managed to control him for nearly two decades after that.

Darth Maul Would Appreciate The Curious Nature Of A Gemini

Geminis are known for their outgoing nature and charm, which may not immediately sound like a great candidate to become a Sith apprentice. This unusual combination is precisely why Darth Maul would be the perfect Sith master for a Gemini apprentice. Like Darth Vader (and Count Dooku, notably), Darth Maul never got to take on an apprentice of his own. However, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels did give a peek into what that may have looked like.

In The Clone Wars, Maul began training his brother, Savage Opress, even if it wasn’t as a formal Sith master and apprentice. The even better example is Maul’s treatment of Ezra Bridger in Rebels, when he was trying to recruit him. Ezra in particular, who arguably shares many traits with a Gemini, offers an example of what Darth Maul would look like as a Sith master. Clearly, Maul would use a Gemini’s creativity to his advantage in a way that would likely work quite well.

Qimir Would Understand A Cancer’s Empathy—And Use It

The Acolyte Proved That Qimir Could Weaponize Empathy Brilliantly

Qimir is the newest on-screen Sith to make his debut, but he proved to be a fascinating addition to Star Wars. Because of The Acolyte’s cancelation, Qimir’s full potential is unlikely to ever fully be realized, especially on screen. Even so, it was clear in Qimir’s interactions with Osha throughout The Acolyte that he had the ability to manipulate those who might not be naturally drawn to the dark, turning them to evil by exploiting their empathetic nature.

This is exactly why Qimir would be the perfect Sith master for a Cancer. Cancers are known for their empathy, emotion, and compassion, none of which would make them an ideal fit for a Sith apprentice, at least initially. Like Osha, though, a Cancer would likely be won over by Qimir’s charms, and he would know just how to pull them to the dark side based on the very traits that seem so opposed to the ways of a Sith.

Darth Talon Would Appreciate The Loyalty And Passion Of A Leo

Darth Talon is a fan-favorite Sith, although, sadly, she has yet to appear in any canon Star Wars movies or shows. She very nearly became the Sith apprentice to Darth Maul in the Star Wars sequel trilogy—at least, that was George Lucas’ plan—but Disney opted to go in a different direction. Nevertheless, plenty is known about Darth Talon from Legends, including that Darth Talon was fiercely loyal.

Like Darth Talon, Leos are known for their intense loyalty to those they care about, which isn’t necessarily always a good thing. Yet, that is precisely what Talon would appreciate a Leo. Although the fate of the Sith master and apprentice is for the apprentice to attempt to take the master’s power and usurp them, perhaps that would look quite different between a master and apprentice who were truly loyal to one another. A Leo’s passion and bravery wouldn’t be a bad thing in this context either.

Darth Zannah Would Be Unstoppable With A Virgo Apprentice

Darth Zannah is arguably a rather underrated Sith Lord in Star Wars, as she was the one to kill Darth Bane, the creator of the Sith Rule of Two. The level of skill, intelligence, and power that feat would have taken proves that Zannah posed an incredible threat. The strengths of a Virgo would only make Zannah that much more powerful, making them a perfect Sith master and apprentice duo.

Virgos are known for being hardworking, logical, and organized, all of which could make them very handy for a Sith master. With a Virgo following Darth Zannah’s lead, there’s likely no limit to what they could accomplish. Of course, a Virgo apprentice would likely follow in Zannah’s footsteps in the end, as is the nature of the Sith, and kill her to take her place, but they too would only be more powerful because of it.

Darth Revan is perhaps the most beloved Sith in all of Star Wars, and audiences have long hoped to see Revan in a new Star Wars movie or show for that reason. Although that hasn’t happened yet, Revan has been canonized, albeit subtly. The canon book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – The Visual Dictionary by Pablo Hidalgo confirmed that there was a legion named in Revan’s honor. Whether Revan’s story continues in Star Wars or not, though, it’s clear that Revan would be the ideal Sith master for a Libra.

Revan was known for being idealistic and having a complication with the light and dark side of the Force—and the Jedi and the Sith, as a result. This is a perfect fit for Libras, who are also idealistic and known for being diplomatic, fair, and interested in balance. Together, Revan and a Libra Sith apprentice could find a unique approach to the Force that may make them more powerful than any Sith duo to date.

A Capricorn Would Work Side-By-Side With Plagueis

Capricorns are known for being dedicated and hard-working, which would make them a perfect match for Darth Plagueis. Darth Plagueis was Palpatine’s Sith master, and although much less is known about him in the Star Wars canon than in Legends, it’s clear that he had lofty goals, which he seemingly accomplished (before Palpatine killed him in his sleep). In fact, Palpatine confirmed in Revenge of the Sith that Plagueis mastered both creating life and preventing death.

While Palpatine learned from his Sith master, he also betrayed him. Again, based on the Sith Rule of Two, a Capricorn apprentice would no doubt eventually do that too. Prior to that, though, a Capricorn would be perfect for Plagueis as he attempted these incredible feats of power and intelligence. A Capricorn apprentice, like Plagueis himself, would commit to these goals and stop at nothing to achieve them.

In Legends, Darth Tenebrous was Darth Plagueis’ Sith master, and although next to nothing has been confirmed about Tenebrous in Star Wars canon, his Legends characterization reveals that Darth Tenebrous would be the perfect Sith master for a Sagittarius. Sagittarius are known for their wisdom and intelligence, both of which would make them lethal under Tenebrous’ guidance. In fact, Tenebrous himself was known for his incredible intelligence.

While it was Tenebrous’ apprentice, Plagueis, who was able to create life and stop death, Tenebrous was known for his impressive precognitive abilities. Were a Sagittarius able to learn this same skill, the two would be nearly unstoppable. Of course, this would also make a Sagittarius’ fight to overthrow Tenebrous all the more successful, in all likelihood. Before that eventual battle, though, the amount of wisdom and knowledge Tenebrous and a Sagittarius apprentice could have amassed would be monumental.
